Eighteen stories, all about love, and about all kinds of love.

From the aching for the one you pine for, to standing up and speaking up for the one you love, to pure joy and happiness, these love stories run the gamut of that emotion that at some point has turned every one of us inside out and upside down.

What is love?

With this original story collection David Levithan proves that love is a varied, complicated, addictive, wonderful thing.

This book really forces me to consider an age-old question:
How does one properly review an anthology?
I have no clue. So let's just start by giving rating breakdowns for the individual stories.

Starbucks Boy- 4/5
Miss Lucy Had a Steamboat- I just don't get it. I'm sure there were some deep and meaningful metaphoric resonances and all that in there somewhere, but it was just too weird for me 2/5
The Alumni Interview- 5/5
The Good Witch- 5/5
The Escalator, a Love Story- 4/5
The Number of People who Meet on Airplanes- 5/5
Andrew Chang- 4/5
Flirting with Waiters- 4/5
Lost Sometimes- 3/5
Princes- 5/5
Breaking and Entering- 3/5
Skipping the Prom- 3/5
A Romantic Inclination- 4/5
What a Song Can Do- 5/5
Without Saying- 4/5
How They Met- Oh, so we finally get to the one in the title 4/5
Memory Dance- 3/5
Intersection- This was a really nice one to end with. Quite short, almost more an essay than a short story 5/5

Overall, this was quite an excellent collection of stories (of which some are LGBT), that really do examine all different kinds of romantic love. Sad, touching, cute, weird, but most of all unique: this anthology is definitely one I'd recommend to fans of contemporaries and fans of David Levithan.
